Another old photo that prompted some memories while I was moving files around was this one. The first thought I had when we saw Corfe Castle in the distance was "I'm sure I've seen that before."
Once we were parked and walking through the village I realised. I hadn't actually been there before, and the reason it looked so familiar was "Bedknobs and Broomsticks."
Built in the 11th century, Corfe Castle seems really tall for a castle of its time and combined with being on top of that hill looks very imposing. I seem to remember there was a big event going on the day we visited and we had a go at archery.
