No cycling!

Writer: PaulPaul

I recently had occasion to copy all of my image files. It took ages - I kept stopping and looking at them.

I thought it might be a good idea to go back to some of them, muck about with them and do write about them.

This one's from a trip to Estonia in 2017. We stayed in Tallinn and one day we went on a guided trip in Lahemaa National Park. There were loads of interesting things to see and do, including an abandoned Soviet Union submarine base. Towards the end of the afternoon, the minibus dropped us in the forest near Viru raba, a big bog, and we followed the path and wooden walkways to meet the minibus at the other side. I remember seeing this sign and wondering if it was really necessary.

Another thing that recently reminded me of this trip though was during lockdown last year. I read of someone from Estonia saying that they were looking forward to not having to stay 2 metres away from other people because they wanted to get back to the more usual 5. I wonder if that's one of the reasons we liked it there?
